I spent the first half of the day in PJ's just hanging around the house with the roomies. Then around 2pm Amy and I went to Farmers Market to get some fresh produce...it had been so long since I have gone to FM. I spent the rest of my afternoon at Michael's house. We made some dinner and then watched the Grammy's and at 10pm we had to watch Keeping up with the Kardashian's because back in November they were in SB filming for their show and I sat at the table next to them at Pierre Lafond. So I had to watch the show tonight to see if I was on there. Sadly all you could see was my back but it was still fun to watch...the picture above was actually taken while they were filming at the restaurant. It is amazing that they filled that back in November and it just aired tonight!

Sleeping is now near impossible because of this cough and I have been taking two Tylenol PM every night just so I can sleep. I was feeling pretty bad today but Michael and I had told Teri that we would help her move so we headed over to her house around 11am. Michael and Will did a lot of the heavy lifting and I helped with the light stuff since I was feeling so terrible. I am sad that Teri moved back to SLO but I know it is where she wants to be, and if that makes her happy I will be 100% supportive - even though I am really going to miss her.
After helping Teri I went to the doctors to see what was wrong with me. After waiting almost an hour to get in I finally got to see the doctor and guess what...I have bronchitis. So he gave me some meds and hopefully they will help in the next day or two. I ran a couple of errands after and then went to Michael's to relax. I am so tired of being sick...I just want to be better.

Today was a really hard day. I am still feeling really sick and my cough is getting worse, yet I had to go to work. I am so thankful that today is Friday, however the day went by SO slow. After work I went to Michael's house and I had been craving Woodstock Pizza all day so we ordered some for dinner. It was a really quite night and we just watched TV and relaxed together. Except that it is really hard to relax when you keep coughing every few minutes. I just want this to go away...

When I woke up this morning I was still feeling horrible but somehow managed to get to work. As the day went by my throat started to feel so much better. I still have this darn cough that won't go away!! I still don't feel great but I am getting better.
After work I ran downtown to get a few things. I stopped at the Coach store because I have been wanting to get a new purse (since my other one broke) and almost everything was on sale plus they were giving an additional 20% everything in the store. I picked the perfect day to go shopping! I decided to get something a little different that what I would normally go for...but I like it so thats all that matters.

When I woke up this morning I felt like crap. I cannot believe that I am sick. I was just sick in August! I made it to work but didn't make it through work and ended up going home at noon. I came home and got in PJ's and watched TV and read a little. Oh and I did laundry at my new place for the first time. I have been doing my laundry at my parents house or at Michael's house because we have coin operated laundry and I didn't want to pay for it and it is kinda weird to use the same washer and dryer and 20 other people in the complex. But I am going to have to adjust and get use to it just like everyone else.

Got to work at 7:30am today...nothing like a 9 1/2 hour day ahead of you. Thank goodness that the big meeting at work went well and now its over! I feel like I am finally able to breathe for a minute! Still so much more to do...I don't think it will ever go away.

I started feeling like I was coming down with a cold the other day and by the time I left work today I was really not doing so well. I tried to go to Michael's house and he sent me home because he doesn't want to get sick. So I came back home and climbed in bed to get some rest. Time to start taking all the cold medications...

Monday has finally arrived....Our big event at work went off without a hitch today so it is nice to know all the days of planning and working overtime paid off. Now we just have to get through tomorrow and the event will be OVER! However my day did not start out wonderful...my tent at work fell down. There is not enough support to keep it up so I sadly have to deal with the termites. The following picture is what two days worth of termite dust looks like...yuck! So for the next week I have to take photos every day and send them to my manager so she can finally try and get the owner to fix our little problem. It is not fun whipping droppings off my desk every 15 minutes. Thankfully they are not falling on my head (yet).

I had to go into work for a few hours today to make sure everything is ready for our big event tomorrow. I am going to be so thankful when this whole event is over! After I got off work I went to Michael's house and just relaxed on the couch and watched TV which was so relaxing! We decided to go to the Chumash Casino around 5pm so we headed up to Santa Ynez. It has been so long since I had been there! It was fun to go back and have a little fun...I won $60!

I decided to spend the night at Michael's house last night even though I did not get into town till about 1:30am. I didn't sleep well though - only got about 6 hours of sleep. I came home a little after noon and got ready and went straight to work. Worked on more stuff for our big event on Monday and have to go back into the office tomorrow.
After work Michael and I had to do something that I was dreading....At his house they have a stay cat that has been coming around for the last 6 months. She came over when she was just a little kitten and never wanted to leave. They could not let her in the house because at the time they already had two cats and they are not even really allowed to have any. So the little kitty stayed outside. They were good to her and gave her food and let her sleep in the laundry room (they ended up naming her Ash). They were not able to give her a proper home so they wanted to give her to someone who could. So today Michael and I took Ash to ASAP Cats where she could be adopted out. She hated the drive there as I held her in my lap wrapped in a blanket. I felt like I was giving my child away and cried the whole car ride there. I know in my heart that it was the right thing to do. I want someone to adopt her who can give her a wonderful home and can care for her and love her more than we could. The lady at ASAP said that Ash will be brought into the public area in about a week after she goes through all of her check ups....so I want to be sure to stop by and see how she is doing.

Oh how I love Fridays! Work was super busy today. We are hosting this big event on Monday and Tuesday and there is so much prep work to do. I was running around the hotel all day and of course it rained the most whenever I was outside. I got almost everything done, however I do need to come into work for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday.
Teri and I decided to go down to LA to see Luke and Jimmy perform in their new band the Street and Babe Shadow. So right after work we drove down and got to the show right in time. It was great to see both of them as it had been so long and I think they were both surprised to see us as well. After the show we met up with Oscar for some yummy dessert and it was somewhere during that time I got talked into going to Coachella.

So I got to work today, sat down at my desk, and then noticed small dropping everywhere. I HAVE TERMITES!!! Deborah had them over her desk about 6 months ago and I thought that I had lucked out because I never got them. Apparently karma had come back to bite me in the butt and drop termite dust all over my head. So Deborah taught me the art of building a tent. So in the following picture my desk in on the left and Deborah's is on the right. Should be interesting to see how long I have to work like this...
After work I went to happy hour with Bekki and Kyle at Marmalade Cafe. They were super sweet and bought me these awesome wine glasses and champagne flutes for my new apartment. It was great to catch up with them, it had been way too long.

I woke up at 6:30am this morning and not by choice; the flashes of lighting and loud booming of thunder was my alarm clock. I can't even begin to describe how intense the thunder was in my neighborhood. I was in the kitchen and there was a flash of light and not even a second later the booming of thunder lasted for over 5 seconds....the windows shook and car alarms went off...it really startled me! Oh and leaving for work was fun. I have to walk down about 20 stairs to the street where my car is parked and and water from the rain was flowing so strong that it looked like a waterfall flowing down the stairs.
Work was good today...nothing too crazy. Got caught up on some more stuff. I have a bunch of stuff to do tomorrow but I am ready for it. When I left today I saw Anthony and he had a gift for me. He and his wife Dewi went to NAMM and met Slash. He brought mine and Teri's Slash books to get signed and unfortunately he was not able to get them signed. He did however talk to Slash for a minute at a signing booth and asked him for an autograph. Apparently he asked Slash to sign it "To Jenn rock on forever" but Slash said he could only sign his name but he though it was cool that he was in line for someone else. I so owe Anthony...I told him I would babysit Jayden one night as a thank you. I felt so bad that he could only get one signature but since Dewi works for Seymour Duncan and Slash comes down to the SB office every now and then she is going to try and get another autograph for Teri which would be wonderful. After work I went over to Teri's house and watched tough love and desperate housewives. I love that we eat pizza and drink wine together every week and I am really going to value next weeks episode.

I love, love, love the rain! It makes the days so much more interesting. I really wish we could have more rainy days.
Work was good today...I feel like I am caught up this week and it is such a wonderful feeling. Don't get me wrong I have a bunch of work on my to do list but at this time...its manageable...come monday I bet you $10 that I will be stressed out again.
I went to dinner with my mom, dad, grandma and dan (my grandma's fiancé) to Chuck's Steakhouse. It was so yummy!! My steak was amazing although I couldn't eat all of it so lucky Michael got the left overs. It was really nice to see my family and to celebrate my grandma's birthday.

I love waking up in the morning to rain...but it makes it so much harder to go to work. I just want to stay in bed all day!
After work today Michael and I finally went and saw Avatar 3D. I feel like I am one of the last people to see it!! However I am not, because the theatre was actually packed! Who would have thought a 6:20pm showing on a Monday night would be busy? I really enjoyed the movie and the special effects were out of this world! I know a lot of people keep saying the story line was not original...but I liked it and I so want there to be a Avatar 2!

I got home around 10am this morning and decided that I want to have a lazy day. I don't get much of those because I usually run errands during the weekend or make plans but I got everything done earlier this week and had a free schedule. I did clean my room today and as you can see...it looks great! I also got a little organizing done so I am all prepared for the beginning of a new week. Michael and I were going to see Avatar tonight but he is not feeling well so we are going to try to go tomorrow night. I got away we go on netflix so I think I might go watch a movie.

There is nothing better than waking up next to the one you love...and thats how my day started. I usually tend to spend the weekends at Michael's house, however now that I have my own...he needs to start coming over! Anyhow I spent most of the morning with him and didn't get home till almost noon. I did go over to my parents house to do some laundry and spent some time with my adorable cat Juba whom I miss so much. I also got some grocery shopping done before before the rain is supposed to start tomorrow. Hung out with Carla, Amy and Brian and drank some wine and watched TV which was nice. Time to head back over to Michael's house...

I have been looking forward to Friday since Monday and thank God it is finally here! Work went by slow today, but that's okay considering that I have the next two days off. After work I came home and hung out with Brian and Amy and had a cocktail and relaxed for awhile. After that I went over to Michael's house and had dinner (yummy pizza from Rusty's!). We ended up watching a marathon of Tommy Lee Jones movies and watched Volcano for the first time. It is quite the movie for back in the 90's and it made me a little nervous based on this weeks natural disasters around the world.

I woke up in the morning and felt so much better today...it is amazing what 12 hours of sleep will do.
I don't even want to talk about work...I think we all know how I feel right now.
After work I went to Java Station with Tanda for a coffee date. It was really nice to catch up...it had been forever!
Plus she had some exciting news to tell me - she has a new boyfriend! Woohoo!
It was nice to go to Java Station as well considering I use to spend hours there when I was in school. It has changed so much but I would not mind making it a habit to go back there every now and then.

We had a big meeting at work that I had been dreading all week and I am so happy that it is over...except there is so much more work we have to do now! Around 4pm I started getting a bad headache so I took something for it hoping it would go away. So after work I headed over to Teri's house for our weekly Desperate Housewives get together and had some wine and pizza. I probably should not of had any wine considering that I still had a headache. I left not long after the show ended because I was beginning to feel really sick. On the way home I felt horrible...stomach pains and a splitting headache. It was all I could do to get home... Once I got home I got in my PJ's and went to bed at 7:45pm. Let's hope I feel better soon.

I went to dump the trash this morning before I went to work and we have this grassy hill behind our apartment and there was really low fog and I thought it looked cool so I took a picture and here it is! As for work...I want to call in sick for the next couple of months :( IT IS SO BUSY! Everyday is just as busy as the next. I am really looking forward to the weekend...

Since I have been so overwhelmed with work I decided to use the gift certificate that my mom gave me to Massage Envy. It was only for a 1/2 an hour, but it was a 1/2 an hour of heaven. They have a membership program and if I am going to be this stressed out all the time it might be worth investing in.

Oh Mondays...I think you have learned by now that I don't like them. Work continues to be busy and yet again stressed me out to the point where I was not feeling good. I think I need to start taking little breaks and go on a short walk or something. I mean being cooped up in an office for 8 hours is not that healthy.

Today Michael and I celebrated our year and a half anniversary! I can't believe that we have been together for so long. He is such a wonderful boyfriend and I am truly blessed to have him in my life, and I love him so much. The photo above is actually the Christmas gift that he got me...a silver Tiffany's ring!

This morning we had a nice little roommate breakfast get together, which I really enjoyed. Hopefully it is something that we can do on the weekends or something. I finally finished building my bookcase so my room is now fully furnished! I also wanted to get everything done because my parents stopped by tonight to see the place for the first time. NO MORE BOXES! I am all moved in :)
I am sad that the weekend is over but all in all it was a great weekend and I got so much done. I am thankful that I done unpacking and I can finally enjoy my weekends from here on out!

Today I got almost all of my furniture from Ikea built!! I got the TV stand and my dresser built, the bookcase will have to wait till tomorrow. The TV stand was a piece of cake but the dresser took a little bit of work... the only thing about Ikea is that their directions are not that clear, but with a little bit of time you can figure anything out. I also got my hair colored! I now have VERY dark hair...dark brown with a lot of red in it. Our 4th roommate Brian also moved in so we now have a full house. :)

I decided to take today off from work so I could go to IKEA and buy some new furniture for my room. So Christy and I headed down early so we could get there before lunch. Believe it or not their restaurant is amazing, so we always stop by for some swedish meatballs. By the end of the day we had somehow managed to get 2 bookcases, a dresser and a TV stand in the back of my Honda Civic...woohoo to us! However poor Christy had to have her knees pretty much in the dashboard for the hour and a half drive home - I so owe her! I had gone over to Michael's house later in the evening and apparently I feel asleep on the couch for about an hour and a half while he was steam cleaning the living room floor. I must have been really tired in order to sleep through that because the cleaner is loud! I am super excited to put everything together tomorrow!

As predicted work was just as busy today as it was yesterday. I feel a lot better after catching up on some stuff but there is just so much more work that needs to be done. I can't wait for summer when the sales office finally has our slow season.

Tonight Christy and I went over to Michelle's house who is a Mark Kay consultant...we met with her earlier this week. We had a color consultation and she did a make over on both of us. We both had such a great time and looked great after! I never realized how many great products they have and the company has really evolved in the last couple of years. I wish I could afford to buy everything that I tried on tonight!

I am taking the day off from work tomorrow and Christy and I are going to drive down to IKEA...so excited!!!

Today was just insane! I don't know why but work has been busier then ever and I just can't seem to get caught up! Every time I get off the phone I have another voice mail waiting for me. I understand it is the beginning of the year and people are trying to plan events and book meetings but come on....let me get caught up! I have a feeling that it will continue to be busy for awhile...it just amazes me how many hours I spend there every week and how I always have so much to do. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to complain too much and I really do enjoy my job, and I am so thankful for having it.

After work Teri came over to my house and had dinner. Finally cooked food in my kitchen!! She was sweet and brought over yummy bread to go with our pasta and a bottle of wine. Then we went over to her house and watched Desperate Housewives. I LOVE that I have such a good friend who loves that show as well. I truly enjoy our weekly DH get togethers.

After hanging out with Teri I got to spend some time with Michael which was really nice because I had not seen him in a few days and really missed him.

Had an incredibility busy day at work today...started my day off at the Goleta Valley B2B Chamber breakfast that started at 7am and went till 9am. It was my first time going alone, but I had fun, and did some networking. I won a raffle prize too!! It's a 4 hour women's self defense class - something that is worth while to know. I also got invited to a Mary Kay event that I went to later on in the evening. When I got back to work at 9:15am it was just go go go all day. I ended up stressing myself out to the point where I was sick to my stomach. I ended up leaving at 3pm because I had worked my full 8 hours....I still had work to do but there was no way I could have stayed till 5pm...I would have ended up getting sick from the stress. However tomorrow is a new day and I will pick up where I left off and if something does not get done...it can wait till the next day. The world will not end is something does not get done right away. Later on this evening Christy and I went to a Mary Kay consultation event where we learned about their products and got to try a bunch out. We tried the facial cleanser line and let me tell you that my skin feels so fresh, clean, and SO soft. I am buying some products tomorrow!!

Oh Mondays....I hated having to get up at 7am to get ready for work. Now that I live further away, I have to leave even earlier which is not horrible, but it's not great either. Had a rather uneventful day at work and just came home after. Spent the evening with the roommates Carla and Amy. We busted out the nice bottles of wine and went through two of them... The other roommate finally moved all her stuff out so Brian can move in this week. She was bad news so the following picture is us (with our wine of course) getting ready to cleanse the room of bad energy with sage. Hope it works!

I usually don't like Sunday nights because it means that I have to work in the morning. However I really don't want the weekend to end since I have had the last 3 1/2 days off and did not get to REALLY enjoy them since I have been packing and moving all weekend. I got almost everything moved...just a few more things to pick up from my parents house. Spent some of the day unpacking and was able to get my rock-n-roll theatre poster put up (hence the picture). Then spent the rest of the afternoon at Michael's house helping him clean. They have an open room in their place and are trying to get it all fixed up so they can get someone to move in.

Today marked a whole new chapter of life called paying rent. I finally moved out of my parents house for the first time in my life and I am now sitting in my new room. I have 3 roomies who are not home right now (well one of the moves in next week). I thought I would miss my room a lot more but I am looking forward to redecorating and going to Ikea on Friday to buy some new stuff. Michael and his friend Steve were dolls and helped me move all my stuff today. Bought them pizza and beer as a thank you. I still have a few more things to bring over tomorrow (like all my food that I forgot to bring over tonight). Can't wait till later this week to be all unpacked.

Another year with new memories, new beginnings, and many adventures to come. I had a nice quite and relaxing New Year's Eve with Michael...just watching Dick Clark's New Year's Eve special on ABC while drinking champagne. Overall I enjoyed starting the year with the one I love.

Spent most of the day packing up my room in my parents house. Tomorrow I move. I start a whole new chapter of my life...being on my own. I'm excited to move out but at the same time I have no idea what to expect which scares me.
I do believe that everything happens for a reason and I believe that the room I found was meant for me.
