Ughhhhhhh....Happy Halloween. I literally spent all day in bed hungover.
I did not think I drank that much but apparently I did. I woke up around 9am and ate breakfast with Michael and Nathan and then I went back to bed around 12:30pm and slept for 3 hours. It was all I could do to get out of bed around 5pm (at Michael's house) and drive back to my house. Once I got home I crawled right back in bed. Now it's bedtime...goodnight...

Well today was much more eventful than yesterday. I ran a bunch of errands in the early afternoon before going up to Michael's house. One of the things I did was get my hummingbird feeder up!! It was a gift from my parents and I just love it! After getting that set up I drove up the mountain and it was party time! Michael and his roommates had a bunch of people over to their house for Halloween and we all dressed up and drank way too much!

Welcome to the weekend! After I got off work I went home, had a little bite to eat and relaxed for a few minutes. This evening I ended up taking Amy to the airport and she was going to go visit her boyfriend in DC. I feel like I barely got home and now she is gone for a week and a half!
I wanted to see Michael tonight but he ended up drinking so he was not able to come down the mountain and I am not comfortable driving to his house at night. Guess it is a quite night for me...

Thursday, October 28, 2010

I have been back home since Tuesday night however I have been so busy that I have not even had a chance to unpack. All I wanted to do tonight was stay home and not do a thing. This week has flown by and I can't believe that we are almost back to the weekend.
Summary of tonight: I did not do anything and it was fantastic!

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

I can't believe that it is already Wednesday...I feel like this week is going so fast! After work I headed over to the SB Bowl to meet up with Teri to see STONE TEMPLE PILOTS!!! I had not really been thinking about this concert and didn't really get excited about it till this afternoon. The concert was soooo fun! I had way too much to drink, screamed way too loud and had the perfect amount of fun. If you ever have the chance to see STP you should - they are amazing! Not to mention that One Republic opened and they are now a new fav band!

I had another busy day at work but thankfully it made the day go by fast! After work I met up with Michael and I went grocery shopping with him as he needed some food for his new house. I did not see Michael for long as I had plans to meet up with Amy to look for Halloween costumes. Amy and I ended up going downtown to brave the costume hunting crowds (and there were a lot of people!). I did not really find anything but she did so thankfully we made some progress. After shopping we met up with Daniela for sushi. I was sad because this was the last time I was going to see her as she is going back to Germany on Thursday. Dinner was really nice and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet Daniela while she was here in the US. I can't wait to visit her one day in Germany!

Monday, October 25, 2010

After work I had planned on doing some laundry and cleaning up my parents house since it was my last night however that didn't happen. I ended up going back to my house for most of the evening and hanging out with Amy and Daniela. The three of us carved our pumpkins and had such a good time doing so! There pumpkins where SO big which made mine look smaller than it really was. Carving pumpkins is such a great past time and really brings back my childhood memories. I ended up spending time with them till 11pm which I was not planning! I had to leave and go back to my parents house and get ready for work in the morning. So this means goodnight!

Sunday, October 24, 2010

After such a productive today yesterday I kept a low profile today. I spent most of the morning hanging out with Michael while at my parents house. I did some stuff around the house that needed to be done and later on in the evening I crashed on the couch and spent the evening catching up on some of my favorite TV shows such as Desperate Housewives. I had missed a few seasons and started watching again this season. I had forgotten how much I enjoy that show and the cast members. One of these days I need to catch up on the seasons that I have not watched...

I have been looking forward to the weekend so I can get out of the house and have some fun. Michael came over to my parents house to meet me and we went to South Coast Deli which I had never been been to before and it was bomb!! I would HIGHLY recommend everyone to get there for lunch sometime as it was one of the best sandwiches that I have had.
After lunch Michael and I went the to SBMA to see an exhibit that I have been interested in called Yosemite: Now and Then. The photos were just stunning and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to see them. Afterwards we headed over to McConnell's Ice Cream (which is a Santa Barbara favorite) for a little afternoon treat. I had not been there in such a long time and it made me feel like a little kid again...not to mention that their ice cream is delicious!
We continued to have an eventful day and headed over to Lane Farms to go through the corn maze and then pick pumpkins. I just LOVE to corn maze!! It really puts me in the holiday mood and not to mention that it's a blast! It took us while to get through but thankfully Michael found the way out (such a good boyfriend) and then we both found out perfect pumpkin. It was truly a wonderful Sunday!

Friday, October 22, 2010

When I got to work today my inbox was so full. I sat down and worked so hard from 9am all the way till 5pm to get caught up on all my work. When I can sit down and really focus I can get a lot of work done! When I left work for the weekend I felt really good on where I was at.
When I got home I finished doing some laundry from the other night. There was nothing really good on TV but ended up on the couch once again watching reruns. Michael was going to come over but it was too foggy to come down the mountain. I ended up having a nice quite night by myself which was really nice considering the last couple of weekends have been so busy.

Thursday, October 21, 2010

I don't know were this week is going but the time is just flying by! We had our last photo shoot today at the Encina and the Pepper Tree. Again this took the whole day so I will have a million emails to catch up on tomorrow. I think the photos turned out well and I can't wait to see them up on our website. When I came home I was exhausted and in no mood to cook so Michael came over and we ordered a pizza and drank wine. I could not have been happier! I might have had a little too much wine but it was so nice to stay in with him and relax.

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Since I was out of the office all day I had tons of emails to catch up on. I worked very hard today and by the end of the day I still was not able to get through everything which was a little frustrating. We had another important client come in this evening so at the end of the day I helped my boss get everything ready for their big event. Nothing is a small project at work right now - everything is becoming a huge event.
I got done with work around 5:45pm and then ran downtown to buy a metal shelf for my patio. I bought it off of CL and it is just perfect! I can't wait to decorate it with plants and lots of candles...it is going to look great. Buying that only took a minute so then I drove back to Goleta and met Amy and Daniela at Goleta Sushi for dinner. It was my first time going there and the rolls were huge and the prices were great. I think I have a new fav Sushi spot!
While we were at dinner there was a baseball game on and we wanted to finish watching it so we went to OTT for a drink and to watch the game. Giants sadly lost but it was nice to get out of the house for a night of fun with the girls.

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

I had a early start to the day as I had to be at the Brisas del Mar at 8:30am for work. We took new photos of our beach hotels today for our website. Again the weather was strange and we had rain throughout the day along with a little lightening and thunder in the afternoon. Thankfully we were able to get our outdoor shots when we had a little break from the rain except one picture we took in the pouring rain which was not too fun. The photo shoot was an all day event and I was so tired after (there is a lot of running around involved!). When I came home from work all I wanted to do was plop down on the couch and fall asleep early. I did made a nice big bowl of tomato soup for dinner because it cold and dreary outside and it was just what I needed. Tomorrow is another busy day so off to bed I go.

Monday, October 18, 2010

Yay I survived my first night back at my parents house!! Just kidding...it really was not too bad just a little weird at first. I have to say that the drive to work was much shorter this morning which was kind of nice :)
So the weather is finally changing....over 100 degrees the other week and now it is raining! I am telling you the weather is becoming more interesting in time. The great thing about tonight was that we got lightening and thunder! It is such a rare occasion for us and it was truly spectacular! I have to admit that I enjoy lightening a little more when I am not alone, but still it was a great show!

Ughhhhh
This morning I was not feeling too well. Usually I am the first one to wake up in the house and today I was the last. We drank sooooo much yesterday - I can't even believe it. I got myself up and made some breakfast but ended up back in bed. I called Michael and thankfully he was in town so I made him come over and take care of me...he is such a good boyfriend!
After awhile I was feeling better and a little more active. While Michael hung out I decided to finally put together my new nightstand from IKEA. It looks so good!
In the afternoon I packed up a bunch of stuff and headed over to my parents house for housesit for the next week and a half. As I write this I am sitting in my old room and it is so weird. It does not feel like my room or my house anymore...

Saturday, October 16, 2010

Today was a crazy fun-filled day! I went home around 10:30am and started getting ready for the big day. Amy, Carla and I started the day at the SB Beer Festival; I had never been before and it was pretty exciting. We ran into some friends there and we all spent time together and had a blast tasting different kinds of beer from all the breweries. The festival ended around 4pm and I was so tipsy it was almost embarrassing (but so was everyone else)! So what do you do when your drunk at 4pm? You go downtown and party all night long! I am not going to go into the details about downtown but lets just stay it was an interesting night. I had such a great time and I am so lucky that I got to share my day with Carla and Amy.

Friday, October 15, 2010

After getting off work at 5pm I drove right up to Michael's house....there was no way I was going to get lost going up there this time! Well I might have left early however I got stuck in the worst fog! It was pretty scary driving up in that kind of weather but I guess that I am going to have to get used to it. I had a great time spending time with Michael and his roommates. I do have to say whenever I go up there they are always barbecuing so I always eat the best food...and somehow I always end up drinking too. Anyhow...the photo above was taken from Michael's bedroom - so much fog!!

Thursday, October 14, 2010

Work has been crazy busy and I don't see it settling down any time soon. My days have been going by so quickly - I can't believe that we are already half way through the month! After work I went home and Michael met me there. We hung out at the house and had a glass of wine to relax after a busy day. Next thing we knew it was time to go to dinner with Amy! We were going to go to Soho where Chef Karim was going to be hosting a dinner! The food was good however it really made me miss his restaurant.

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

After work I went home to do some much needed cleaning. I had not done laundry in quite awhile and I had to do it tonight because I was running out of clothes!! I ended up doing 3 loads and there was still more to do. Moral of the story: keep up on laundry!
While I was cleaning Teri and Will stopped by to say hello on their way down to Disneyland. It was great to see them and I am so jealous that they were going on a Vacation. Then again it was for a special occasion - happy two year anniversary Teri and Will!

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

We had a very busy day in the office today and I was so thankful when I was able to leave. However after I left work I had to head over to the Las Aves Cafe to meet my coworkers along with some clients of ours. We had a great time and the food was delicious however these crazy 10 hour days are killing me! It was almost 8pm by the time I got home and I was beat. I got comfortable on the couch and hang out with Amy and watched our weekly Bravo shows. Sometimes just the simple things make me so happy.

Monday, October 11, 2010

Even though I went to bed early last night I was still tired all day!! It was weird...I felt more hung over on Monday than I did on Sunday. It was pretty hard to get through the work day and I lived off coffee. I came home, made dinner and crashed on the couch for the rest of the night. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow.

Sunday, October 10, 2010

When the party ended last night a few people decided to go party downtown and I decided to stay at the house with Michael and just go to bed. I am so thankful because my hangover was very minimal in the morning. I stayed home most of the morning and helped cleaned things up. Amy, Carla and I decided to finally get out of the house and we went to lunch at Silvergreens (so yummy!) and then did a little window shopping at Ross. I found a couple things for the house and I want to go back sometime and look at their clothing. By the time that the evening came I got so tired!! It has been an exhausting weekend and I am ready to go to bed and get a good nights sleep. Happy 10/10/10!!

Saturday, October 9, 2010

Oh my gosh...I don't even know where to begin! I got up early this morning and decorated the house while Amy and Carla were at the heart walk. Amy and I wanted to surprise Carla with the decorations for her going away party. There was so much to do in so little time but somehow I managed to get it all done - AND bake cupcakes!!
In the afternoon people started to arrive and the boys barbecued a bunch of food for everyone. The food was delicious and everyone was having a great time. We played a bunch of drinking games and spent time hanging out with friends. Everyone seemed to have a good time so I am going to call this party a success!

Friday, October 8, 2010

Somehow we quickly ended up at Friday again and I could not be more excited! Today was a long day at work. I actually got there a little early and worked my butt off all day to get all my work done. At 5pm my boss and I hosted a wine and cheese reception for a client of ours and it was a lot of fun! The group enjoyed all the food and even had a few glasses of wine! It is a great feeling when you know that you did your job right. I finally got out of work a little after 6pm and I went over to Hollister Brew to meet Carla (who was in town for the weekend) and Amy for a beer. After a drink we went over to Costco to do some shopping for the BBQ that we were going to have tomorrow. We got lots of goodies for the event!!

Thursday, October 7, 2010

I had promised Michael that I would come stay over at his house tonight. So after work I went home and made some dinner, hung out for a bit and then packed up all my stuff that I would need for the next day. Well I ended up taking a little longer than I planned and by the time I got up the pass it was getting dark out. I had only been to Michael's house once before and it is pretty hard to find as it is on a one way dirt road up in the mountains. Well I ended up going right when I should have gone left at the fork in the road and got lost in the dark. Try being lost on a one way dirt road in the dark (in the mountains they don't have street lights!!)...it is SCARY! I called Michael crying and pretty scared. Thankfully he found me and I got to his house safe and sound. I will never forget how to get to his house again!

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

I have been waiting for this day for SO long!! Thank goodness work went by really fast and it helped that I got to leave at 3pm. Teri met me at work at 3pm and we jumped in the car and headed to the bowl to meet MAROON 5!! It was so fun to meet the boys...however the meet and greet lasted less than a minute which was a bummer. At least we got the best picture ever!!
We were so lucky as well and ended up in the front row right against the railing. The show was amazing and I knew every song that they played. I can't wait to see them again!! xoxo

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

First and foremost I want to wish a very happy birthday to my great grandma who is turning 100 today and to my very close and dear friend Bekki. I started out my day pretty early...I attended the Goleta Valley Chamber B2B Breakfast this morning at 7am and then went to work at 9am and worked for a full day. Nothing says hard work like putting in 10 hours. Nothing like a long busy day!!

Monday, October 4, 2010

It was so hard to go to work today because it is SO HOT outside. By the time that I got to work at 9am it was already 70 degrees. By the end of the day Santa Barbara has broken their heat record. We have had the weirdest weather this year!! First we did not have a summer and now it is hot when the weather should be getting cooler....I blame it all on global warming.
I was pretty miserable all day especially when I got home since we don't have air conditioning. I ended up going to Trader Joes at 7pm just to get some cold air!! Well I needed to go grocery shopping too and being in the AC helped! I do have to say that 94 degrees at 7:30pm is not very cool!!

Sunday, October 3, 2010

I have pretty much given up on sleep this week. I got up early once again because I had a very important place to go today: LA to visit Carla and see her new place!! I left SB around 11:30am and go to LA around 1pm. I was so excited to see Carla and her new apartment which I might say soooo cute! I can't wait to have my own place one day :)
So once I got there we hung out for awhile and caught up on life and then headed out for an afternoon at IKEA. Before IKEA we had to get some food because we were both starving so CPK it was. After a glass of wine and a yummy lunch we were ready to hit the isles. I had a few important things to get at IKEA which I found thankfully. I wish we had a store closer to Santa Barbara...oh well gives me one more reason to come down to LA and visit. We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out, shopping and eating. I had such a fun day and I can't wait to go visit Carla again!

Saturday, October 2, 2010

I had to get up early this morning because I had a whole list of things to do last night that did not get done. I was rushing around the house like a mad women and on my way out I tripped on the stairs on skinned my knees really bad (lesson: SLOW DOWN and everything is still going to be okay). I was rushing because I had a hair appointment at 9:30am for a cut and color which I badly needed. Once I looked amazing I went to meet Michael at the PT so we could meet up and go to my Great Grandma's 100th Birthday!! I am so happy and so proud of her for turning 100 years old! The birthday party was a lot of fun and there were so many family members there that I had not seen in a long time! It was a little overwhelming and I was so thankful to have Michael there at my side.

Friday, October 1, 2010

HAPPY FRIDAY!! I am so happy that it's the weekend and I was so ready to get this work day over and done with. Around 4:30pm I get so happy because I start to wrap everything up, file all my paperwork for the day and peace out for the weekend. I came home from work, made some dinner and relaxed in the living room. Amy came home and hung out with me for the evening...nothing better than a glass of wine and good conversation to end the work week.
