I can't believe that tomorrow is March!! It just amazes me how fast time goes...Anyhow I went out to lunch with Bekki today and we went to Rose Cafe on the Mesa. I had never been there before and everyone always talks about how their food is the best. I have to admit that it is probably some of the best mexican food in SB and I will definitely go back. After lunch we went to the beach with Bekki's parents and her dog. The photo above was taken at Hendrys Beach....there was so much sea foam!!
At 4:30pm Michael and I went on a full moon cruise and we were having a great time until I started getting sea sick :( For the last hour I felt terrible and I just wanted off the boat. I thought it was going to be nice and romantic but not this time!

Saturday is my favorite day :) I decided to get up a little early and get my day started... but I ended up lounging around the house till about 1pm. I went downtown in the rain with Carla and Amy today and went to the Verizon store (had to get Amy a new cell phone), after the horrible service at Verizon we needed margaritas and had lunch at CPK. We ended up doing some shopping after which was really nice because it had been so long since I had actually bought some new clothes. When we came home we watched a movie with Brian and relaxed the rest of the evening. I was so tired after walking around all afternoon that I did not want to go anywhere! Michael had wanted me to come over to his house but I did my best and convinced him to come here because I was so beat from today.

It was so hard to get out of bed today...it felt like a Saturday but it wasn't. Work was nice and quite and I felt like I was able to get caught up on most of my work from this week. I am going to have to be sure to enjoy my weekend because next week is going to be insane at work. I went over to Michael's house for dinner and watched a movie with him. At 10pm it started raining and it was getting pretty windy and then I realized my window at home still leaks. So I ran home to throw a towel in the window in case any rain comes in. I REALLY need to get this fixed since we are in the rainy season. No water has leaked in yet...let's hope nothing happens during the night.

Work was so busy today...nothing like playing catch up. I got through most of my emails in my inbox but I am sure I will have a ton more today since I am waiting to hear back from a bunch of people. I am so thankful that tomorrow is Friday but I know it is going to be busy...
I had Bekki and Kyle over for dinner tonight! They came over at 6pm and stayed for a few hours. I made some yummy pasta and garlic bread for dinner, and then we had dessert. I found of that Kyle just got a job at one of my favorite wineries so I see many more wine tastings in my future! I am sad that they are going to be moving laster on this year...but thankfully Irvine is just a few hours away. It has been a long day and I am so happy to get in my PJ's and go to bed early.

Oh my gosh....work was horrible today. I maybe got an hour and a half of work time in. I was in meetings from 10:45am - 11:15am and then I had to go pick up lunch for our marketing meeting which lasted 12:00pm - 4:15pm (Over 4 hours!!!). I pretty much got nothing done so I am going to have to do twice the work tomorrow. I got the worst headache today....after work I went to Michael's house and had him make me dinner because my head hurt so bad. He is watching Man vs. Wild and I am about to go to bed because I can't seem to handle anything else right now.

Ummm...my day was actually really boring. I went to work as usual and nothing exciting happened there. After work I came home and relaxed for a bit. I ended up going over to Michael dad's house and having dinner over there while he did his taxes. I have come to realize that I think there is something wrong with how many tax exemptions I am taking at work so it is something that I need to look into. Anyhow we had pizza for dinner which was so yummy and it seems like I have not had it in so long. I also got to see Mr. Patch (Michaels dads cat whom I miss). Ended up staying over at Michael's house which was nice...I always enjoy waking up next to him.

Back to work today after a very busy weekend. Work was interesting to say the least...seems like everyone had a case of the Mondays. I was happy when it was 5pm and time to go! It is nice that it is staying lighter later...I hated leaving work when it was already dark outside. I honestly did not do much today and that felt awesome! I made dinner, hung out with the Carla and Brian for a bit, took a shower, and then crawled in bed and watched Cake Boss for a few hours. I LOVE that show!! The only thing is that every time I watch it, I always get hungry.

I was so tired this morning even though I got over 10 hours of sleep. At 10am this morning I met up with Michael and he wanted to go fishing at Lake Los Caneros. When we got there it was really windy and kinda cold so I only stayed till about 12:30pm. It was so nice to be out there....it is so peaceful and for a couple of hours it is nice to forget about all the crazy things happening in the world. I had a pretty quite afternoon, just hung out at home and got my weekly chore done. After dinner Michael came over and spent the night. We ended up drinking a bottle of wine and watching TV....oh how the simple things make me so happy.

Oh my gosh waking up this morning was not fun...I think I only got about 5 hours of sleep. Spent the morning in Hollywood and finally got out of the hotel close to noon. We headed to my favorite store...DSW! I needed to get some new work shoes and thankfully I found some. Teri and Will were staying in LA another night, and I was not, so I caught the train back to Santa Barbara. It had been so long since I had taken the train and I forgot how nice it was! I really did not want to drive since I had just driven down to LA last week and the train is such a cheep alternative. Michael was a doll and picked me up and took me home. I got unpacked and took a shower, and am so tired from last night that I think I will be going to bed soon.

I have been looking forward to today all week. After work I went home to meet Teri who had driven down from SLO. We had dinner together and she was amazing and drove us down to LA. Once we got into Hollywood we picked up Miss. Cat and headed to the BW Sunset Plaza hotel to get ready for a night on the town. We first stopped at the Viper Room (owned by Johnny Depp!) and our AMAZING friend Oscar put us on the "special special" VIP list so we got in for free and got some free drinks. There were a couple of bands that were playing that were pretty good. Once we were done there we went by another place were we finally got to see Oscar! By that time we left that place it was 1am so we went to Pasadena to pick up Teri's boyfriend Will from a house party. By the time we got back from Pasadena and back to the hotel and in bed it was 4am! I am still amazed that I was able to stay up considering that I go to bed by 11pm every night. I had a great time and I am so glad that I was able to spend some time with my Sunset Girls!

Work was work, and nothing exciting happened there today. After work I went to Michael's house since I didn't get to see him yesterday and we got to spend some quality time together. There was a Bruce Willis marathon on TV so we watched a couple of movies and now it is time to head off to bed. Looking forward to an exciting day tomorrow!

Happy hump day! Today was a nice mellow day...Work went by fast since I have been playing catch up. I am almost caught up on everything which is a nice feeling. There is always work that needs to be done but it is easier to get it done when you don't have a million other things to do. I came home after work and made dinner. I have been trying to eat better so I made a big yummy salad and a small pizza. After dinner I finished filing my taxes...so glad to have those done! I ended up watching the olympics with the roommates...It was the first time that I have really watched and it was so great to see Shaun White and Lindsey Vonn both win the gold for us!

Happy Birthday Mom!!
Today was my first day back to work in what seems like forever. I had a lot of emails to catch up on, but it kept me busy and the day went by really fast! Today was my mom's birthday so after work I met up with everyone at Holdren's Steakhouse for dinner. We had a pretty big party...about 8 of us and dinner was SO good! I had a yummy steak with mashed potatoes and a nice big glass of wine. For dessert my grandma and Dan had purchased this amazing cake that my mom just loved. It was angel food cake with fresh fruit in the middle and then had a whipping cream frosting and a million flowers on top...you can kinda see it in the photo above. It was a great night and I am pretty sure my mom had a lovely birthday.

I stayed over at Michael's house last night because I was able to take today off from work. We went out to breakfast this morning which was nice and relaxing. We spent most of the morning together but ended up doing out own thing in the afternoon...he went fishing with the boys and I went home to clean and run errands. It was good to be able to get stuff done today since I was out of town all weekend. Later Michael took me out to dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for Valentines Day (since we couldn't go yesterday). Dinner was SOOOO good, and my steak was amazing! If it was not so darn expensive I would go back all the time.

Happy Valentines Day!! Today was the last day of the LA Times Travel Show and I don't know how anyone could do more than two days of that. It started two hours later thankfully so I could sleep in a little longer. It was pretty busy in the morning but as the afternoon came we ran out of all our giveaways so no one wanted to come to our booth which was fine by me. I thought traffic would be bad coming home but thankfully it was not and I was home by 7pm. I went over to Michael's to spend the rest of Valentines Day with him. When I got there he had a bouquet of flowers for me and a huge box of yummy chocolates. Since we did not know what time I was going to get home we postponed dinner till tomorrow...he is going to take me to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse - yummy!

Today was the first day of the LA Times Travel & Adventure Show at the LA Convention Center. I was their representing Best Western as a brand as well as the two hotels I work for in SB. I got there around 7:30am to set up my booth and then the madness began at 8am - 5pm. There were TONS of people...I can't even begin to tell you how may people can by...maybe a 1,000 or more. INSANE! The day went by pretty fast and I gave out tons of brochures and free giveaways. I will tell you though that people are so greedy and all they want are the free stuff that you are giving away...they don't even care about what you are trying to sell. By the time I was done with the show today my feet hurt so bad and all I wanted to do was crawl back in this heavenly bed and go to sleep. So I ordered some more room service and chilled in bed which was good considering my feet are so swollen for standing all day. Can't wait to do this again tomorrow....

Today did not feel like a Friday and I think that is because I have to work all weekend. I feel like my life revolves around work...I wish I was lucky enough to not have to have a job. I only worked a half day today and got off at 1pm. I then went over to my grandma's house for lunch where I met her fiance's kids. I cannot believe that I am gaining another step aunt, step uncle and 4 step cousins....when they get married in July I am going to have 23 cousins!!!
I left her house around 3:15 to drive down to LA. I have to work the LA Times Travel Show on Saturday and Sunday at the LA Convention Center so I had to drive down the night before since I start at 7:30am tomorrow. Traffic was horrible...it took me 3 hours to get here...that is insane! I checked into the Westin in downtown LA, and my room is beautiful and I am on the 28th floor! I got all settled in, took a shower, jumped in bed and ordered some room service :)

I guess you could say this morning was like any other day. Got the day started early and went to work as usual. After work Michael and I went to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and saw actress Julianne Moore. There was a special event at the Arlington and she received the Montecito Award which was really cool. We got there at 8pm and they had a 2 hour question and answer session with her. She is so pretty and such a wonderful actress and I am so lucky that I was able to attend that event.

It is amazing to me that I have not been stressed out at work this week. I wonder if that is because I have taken some time off recently to relax and when I come back to the office I can focus better. Well whatever is going on...it is working! After work I met up with Michael to go to the AAA office and get him new car insurance. After that he wanted to go to Taco Bell for dinner and I can't believe I ate there...it was only because I was super hungry (it was not that good either). He ended up going home because he was not feeling that great and I went home to relax. When I got home all my roommates where there as well as Amy friend Rachel and we all sat around and drank a couple of bottles of wine. We opened a bottle that Amy had that was 10 years old...it was SO yummy! We also had a bottle of the Santa Barbara ZCS which is one of my favorite wines...which reminds me that I should go buy a couple of bottles.

Back to work this morning....boy did I enjoy having a 3 day weekend. I woke up to rain which made me a little nervous about my window, but at the end of the day everything was fine (thank goodness!). Played catch up at work so the day went by fast. One awesome thing at work happened...it started hailing! Deb, Millie and I ran outside and stood in it...I wish more fun stuff like this happened in SB. I went to Michael's after work to hang out with him, and while I was there I got a text from my Manager Teri saying she has a special announcement and she was going to put it on Facebook. So I grabbed Michael's computer and logged on and man...it was crazy news...she is pregnant!!! I am so excited for her and we get to have another baby around the office!!

I decided to take today off from work. I had worked a bunch of overtime and earned a comp day. It was great to sleep in some and I was able to run some errands. One of the first things I did today was get renters insurance...after the whole window leaking thing I didn't want to take any chances. It turns out that it is really reasonable and totally worth it! I was also able to meet up with Michael and have lunch together...usually a very rare occasion during the week. I also had a doctors appointment today...what a waste of $40. Oh and I decided that I am getting my Doors tribute tattoo for sure....it is something that I have wanted for years...now I just need to figure out where to get it. So the best thing ever happened today! I went to the gas station and ran into my friend Sarah who I have not seen in what seems like almost a year! It was SOOOO good to see her, and she looks great. I can't wait to plan a get together and catch up on the last year and get back to our crazy random adventures that we use to have (like the one in the picture)!

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!! I woke up early to go feed Tanda's cat once again and got a couple of things done in the morning. It is such a good feeling to get things done early and feel like you accomplished something at the end of the day. I went out to brunch with Carla, Amy and Amy's friend Rachel and we went to Pacific Crepes...SO GOOD!!! Oh my gosh I cannot wait to go back.
I went over to Michael's house to watch the Super Bowl and Nic and Steve were there too. We had a couple of beers and watched the game...not too impressed with the commercials this year :( Ended up coming home pretty late...but thankfully I took tomorrow off work.

Michael finally spent the night for the first time at my new place...only took over a month to get him over here!! It was nice to wake up and have him here...just need to get him in the routine! We went over to Tanda's house to feed her kitty in the morning and it started pouring rain so we ended up staying there for over half an hour. After that I came home and just kinda hung around the house all day and took it easy which was nice. I ran a few errands...and went to the Coach store to use my $50 gift certificate...bought a nice new black leather wallet. Later on I hung out with Brian my roommate and ended up drinking a bottle of wine and pretty much passing out.

Today was the most insane day ever. So I got up early today because I have to go feed Tanda's cat before work....so I am just in my room minding my own business getting ready. Next thing I hear is this dripping noise....and I look over at my window and tons of water from the rain is coming down on the windowsill and splashing on to my desk. So I run into the bathroom grab a towel and go tell our apartment manager. She did not really seem to care and did not act like she is going to do anything to fix it. So I left a note for my roommates and ran out the door to go feed the cat. In my rush to go to her house I forgot my phone at home so I was phone-less all day. Oh and by the way...Tanda's cat Charlie is adorable thing ever and I want to steal him :)

Thank god it is Friday and work went by really fast. I got so much done which is good because I am taking Monday off from work. So Michael and I met up right after work and got ready to go see a movie that is part of the film festival. The movie was called When Your Strange and it was about the band the Doors. The most amazing thing ever happened!!! John Densmore - the drummer for the Doors was there!!! He came out on stage and thanked everyone for coming, told a couple of stories and basically opened the movie. Oh and the movie was narrated by Johnny Depp...I mean seriously how could this night get any better. After the movie we went out to dinner and then headed off to the Sandra Bullock after party. It was at Marmalade Cafe and when we got there they were handing out goodie bags to everyone so I got a bag with a gift card to Coach for $50 and Michael got one to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for $50!!! Oh and then we got free alcohol and food all night. I LOVE my job and I am so glad we get to enjoy the special perks!

Today was so much fun! Michael and I went to opening night of the Santa Barbara Film Festival at Paseo Nuevo mall. My work are big sponsors this year so we got VIP passes to the event. So we got there around 10pm when it opened and stopped by the bar where Carla and Amy (my roommates) were bar tending and got a drink and then we stopped by a bunch of the little booths for food. Then we went up to the super VIP area for a drink. I ran into the manager of Marmalade Cafe and he invited us to the Sandra Bullock after party tomorrow night! I have to admit...it is nice to be VIP sometimes.

Each day I am starting to feel so much better which is great. Work was good today...happy to be half way through the week! After work I met up with Tanda and we went to Java Station for coffee. She is going to be going out of town Thurs-Sun and asked me if I could watch her cat and feed her roommates fish. After that I stopped by my parents house to pick up some mail and catch up with them. I ended up spending the rest of the night with Michael just watching TV and relaxing.

When I woke up this morning I was feeling so much better so I went back to work. I spent most of the day playing catch up on emails and phone calls and just took it easy. I came home from work and made dinner and just watched some TV. I was planning on having a quite night but Michael called me and really wanted me to go back to the Goleta pier and go night fishing. It was almost 9pm and I was already in PJ's and did not want to go...but he talked me into it. I only stayed a little over an hour but look what he caught! P.S. They threw it back in :)

I stayed home from work today because I am still not feeling great, but I do feel like I am finally getting better. It was nice to sleep in and just relax. I ended up getting some things done around the house like laundry, dusting and cleaning up my room.

I had not seen Michael all day and I really wanted to see him...so I went out to the Goleta pier where he and Nate were night fishing. I didn't stay that long because I didn't think it would be good for me to be out in the cold...but while I was there they did catch a fish! They think they caught a baby rock fish...kinda cool!
